Consolidated Theatres is bringing the Jane Austen classic, âPride & Prejudiceâ back to the big screen this week. The movie runs through Thursday, April 24, at theaters in KÄhala, Pearlridge, Mililani and Kapolei.Â
Guests can purchase one general admission ticket and get the second one for free. Consolidated Theatres is an affiliate of Reading International Inc. and has had theaters in HawaiÊ»i since 1917. It currently operates almost 100 big screens across OÊ»ahu.Â
The 2005 film of âPride & Prejudiceâ was nominated for four Academy Awards.

âPride and Prejudiceâ explores the story of Elizabeth Bennet and her four sisters, Jane, Mary, Kitty and Lydia, and their various escapades with love as a middle-class family living in the 1800s. The 2005 film stars actress Keira Knightley as the witty Elizabeth Bennet and actor Matthew Macfadyen as the infamous Mr. Darcy.
The movie is based on the book by Austen, who is also the author of âEmmaâ and âSense and Sensibility.â
